Kevin McDonagh has spent a very interesting 30 years + in the world of logistics and supply chain both at home and overseas. Over those years, there is no doubt, as to the amazing changes which have taken place. Notwithstanding, the many major economic problems which hit the supply chain along the route. The people who maintain the supply chain industry 24/7 - 365 days a year, continued to respond with great tenacity and resilience, Already starting to deliver another decade of change.

Huge ships with much huger ports to berth them, larger aircraft with city proportioned airports to dock them, not forgetting to mention ‘The New Silk Road’ belt and road initiative. A mammoth task met and successfully undertaken, by a new breed of project forwarding specialists.

B2B, B2C & D2C business, global e-fulfilment, all migrating to a world of online e-commerce, which in a few short years has grown exponentially, The rise of Amazon and Prime services has ‘raised the bar’ and certainly raised the end customers expectations! Driving global expansion, constantly adding large regional distribution centers, to deliver on that final mile!

Nonetheless digitisation, AI, WMS, superior warehousing and the hardware to match, has given the opportunity for all sizes of supply chain led companies to adopt and take advantage of the current technology and all-encompassing software integrations.

We are now experiencing the current world crisis of Covid-19, Post Brexit transitioning negotiations and world trade talks, which can and will no doubt affect, the complexities across our supply lines.
